BULLDOGS DROP SATURDAY NIGHT GAME IN WORCESTER

The Berwick Academy boys varsity hockey team traveled to Worcester, Mass., to take on Worcester Academy this past Saturday.
 
Worcester came away with the 4-1 win.
 
Worcester struck first with a goal less than 10 minutes into the game, but Bulldogs sophomore Justin Massa tied the game at one apiece just moments later. His power-play goal was assisted by junior Josh Felton and sophomore Eli Chilicki.
 
Berwick allowed two goals in the second period and one in the third. In total, they were 1-for-4 on power plays and 1-for-2 during penalty-kill opportunities.  
 
Senior goaltender Jared Swisher was bombarded with 61 shots, of which he saved 57. Swisher has now saved 135 of 146 shots through three games. 
 
The Bulldogs will look to regroup before taking on Pingree (0-3) this coming Wednesday. The puck will drop at 5 p.m. in Hamilton, Mass.
