Unleash your creativity at Clay Creations Camp! Led by expert Sara Dulong Apsey, explore hand-building techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab building to craft unique pottery, from functional bowls to artistic sculptures, while learning glazing techniques to make your pieces shine.

Some options are available in Base Camp and other complementary enrichment programs. If you need assistance or can’t find an option to extend your child’s day into a full-day experience, please email our office.

Transportation Available: Pick-up and drop-off locations in Exeter, Portsmouth, Kittery, & York. Add a weekly transportation pass during registration to access our transportation offering.

Throughout the week, you'll master three exciting hand-building techniques: pinching, coiling, and slab building. These versatile methods will allow you to craft everything from small bowls to sculptures, and everything in between. With a focus on creativity and individual expression, you'll have the chance to experiment with different textures, shapes, and designs.
In addition to mastering the basic techniques, you'll learn how to glaze your pottery, experimenting with various colors and finishes to create functional pieces or artistic masterpieces. Whether you're crafting a personalized mug, decorative sculpture, or a unique vase, this camp provides the tools and guidance to make your ideas come to life in clay.
At the end of the week, you'll walk away with several beautiful, handmade pottery pieces that reflect your imagination and hard work.
