Close One Ends in Road Defeat

A tight game for 32 minutes ended in a Berwick loss on the road at Pingree.
Noah Daniel's 34 points and another double-double from Brandon Ventura was not enough to get the Bulldogs over the finish line in their final EIL match-up. On the road at Pingree on their senior night was always going to be a tough test, but Berwick, as they always do, battled to the end.

After tying the game with 18 seconds remaining, the Bulldogs got the defensive stop but could not corral the rebound. A pass off the offensive rebound squirted out to a Pingree player, who knocked down a 15 footer from the right short corner. Returning to the line-up after an injury absence, Jake Purington (5 points-9 rebounds-9 assists) called timeout with two seconds remaining. The full court play drawn up in the timeout got Noah Daniel a final heave from just behind half court that missed off the back of the rim.

Berwick finishes the season qualified for the Class C Large NEPSAC playoffs but await the final results and decision coming on Sunday.
