Bulldogs Dazzle at Home

The Berwick Academy varsity boys hosted Portsmouth Abbey in an EIL matchup and won going away, 64-35.
It has been tough sledding over the past few outings for the Bulldogs, but they found their footing in snowy conditions at home, beating Portsmouth Abbey 64-35. BA got out to a quick start and took a 32-13 lead into halftime behind strong offense performances from Noah Daniel and Brandon Ventura.

While the scoring was there all night, it was BA's stout defense that really set the tone. The Bulldogs kept the visitors off balance by constantly switching defenses and never allowing them to get into a rhythm. Kavery Daniel was a menace on defense, causing turnovers with his quick hands. While junior Nate Simonds seemed to be everywhere getting deflections and rebounds.

Seven Bulldogs would get into the score book, led by Noah Daniel. Junior Jake Purington had a breakout game, putting up double figures in scoring and rebounding. Freshman Sawyer Demers and junior Greg Leggett would both hit from deep; Leggett's three was off of a great baseline pass and drive by freshman Oscar Sims. Ten Bulldogs would appear in the game.
