Relationships & Communication

Close student-teacher relationships

Our teachers understand how best to  encourage students to think independently, to be kind and compassionate to one another, to be courageous in their actions, and, most importantly, to be themselves. They believe in forging strong, authentic relationships with their students and families. They encourage students to adopt a growth mindset approach to learning and to be resilient in the face of setbacks or failures, as we understand that these moments provide powerful opportunities for growth. Faculty model these expectations in their classrooms, and in their roles as advisors and homeroom teachers, coaches, counselors, and administrators.
