Camp Topic: Metalsmithing: Stay Cool in the Hot Shop!
Get ready to heat things up while keeping your creativity cool in this exciting hands-on metalsmithing camp! Led by expert artist and metalsmith Sara Dulong Apsey, this workshop introduces young makers to the fundamentals of metalworking, from soldering and sawing to shaping and texturing.

Date: June 16-20, Monday-Friday, No Thursday Program
Time: 9:00 p.m.-12:00 p.m.
Cost: $300
AM & PM Half-Day Options for Full Day Experience: We have half-day options available this week. Please browse our offerings by logging into CampBrain. Some options are available in Base Camp and other complementary enrichment programs. If you need assistance or can’t find an option to extend your child’s day into a full-day experience, please email our office.
AfterCare Available: Please add on AfterCare at during the registration process if you wish to extend your child's camp day to 5pm.
Transportation Available: Pick-up and drop-off locations in Exeter, Portsmouth, Kittery, & York. Add a weekly transportation pass during registration to access our transportation offering.

Ready to dive into the world of metalworking? Join us and unlock your creative potential in a workshop full of sparks, craftsmanship, and artistic expression! Led by expert metalsmith Sara Dulong Apsey, this half-day camp gives you the chance to work with copper, brass, and silver—materials as cool as the pieces you’ll create!
Over the course of this hands-on week, you'll master essential metalsmithing techniques, including soldering, sawing, and light metal forming. Step by step, you'll craft your own wearable art—rings, pendants, and personalized bracelets—while adding vibrant epoxy resin details that make your designs truly pop!
No prior experience? No problem! Whether you’re a beginner or an aspiring metalsmith, this camp is the perfect place to hammer, torch, and polish your way to beautiful handmade treasures. As you work in our "hot shop" (don’t worry, we’ll keep it cool), you'll learn how to manipulate metal and bring your creative ideas to life.
