Dear Berwick Community,
The process of selecting Berwick’s next Head of School begins in earnest on Monday and Tuesday, October 28 and 29. On those dates, RG175, our search partners, will be on campus to gain insights into the culture of Berwick and what our community is seeking in our next leader.
As a reminder from earlier communications, the calendar for their visit is attached here. I encourage everyone to find a way to offer their input to this process. The insights from this visit will enable RG175 to create a position statement and prioritize the qualities and areas of expertise we, as a community, seek in candidates considered for this role.
In addition to meeting with all constituencies of our community, RG175 will also be meeting with the search committee in preparation for evaluating candidates. I want to thank the members of the committee who have graciously agreed to offer their time, insights, and talents to this process. The search committee members are:

This group will be tasked with reviewing dossiers of interested candidates, conducting extensive in-person interviews, and selecting finalists for further vetting. An Advisory Board, made up of Berwick faculty, staff, and administration, will interview all the finalists considered for the role and share their thoughts and insights with the search committee. The members of that advisory board will be announced in the near future.
As we go through this process, I will keep you updated on the timelines and progress of the search. I am always available to answer any questions so please reach out. In the meantime, I encourage everyone to participate in this process by sharing their thoughts at one of the meetings next week, and/or answering the survey that will be sent out on Monday.
