Tenth Shutout of the Season

BA   0  -  0  Tilton
Berwick Academy (7-7-4)  vs Tilton School(4-11-1)

The Bulldogs traveled to Tilton school on November 1st for a 5pm game and couldn't score, but came away with their 4th tie of the season and their 10th shutout of the season.

The Bulldogs had the advantage in shots on goal and corners earned but could not find the back of the net.  The best chance to score in the game came in the 28th minute when Tilton earned a free kick for a foul outside the box.  The shot was going to the top corner,  but Julia Brennan '28 (Exeter, NH) made an amazing save getting just enough of a touch to keep it out of the net and off the post.  Thankfully Eliza Small '25 (Portsmouth NH) was there to clear the ball off the line to keep the game scoreless.  Just before the halftime break Griffin Demers '28 (Rochester, NH) hit an amazing cross to Sophia Desimone '28 (Dover, NH) whose volley went just wide.

The Bulldogs played a better second half and became more of an offensive threat, but still could not find the back of the net despite some great attacking play from Small, Desimone, Demers, Neomi Groth 25' (Portsmouth, NH) and Tatum Sloper 27' (Scarborough, ME).

Ava Souza '28 (Portsmouth, NH) and Emma Rich 27' (Dover, NH) stepped up to play defense with veterans Leila Beakes '26 (Rollinsford, NH),  Juliette Lohnes '25 (Berwick, ME) and Eliza Small '25 (Portsmouth, NH).  All played a critical role in keeping the Rams off the scoreboard and preserving the 10th shutout of the season for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs will travel to Concord Academy on Wednesday 11/6 for their final regular season game and a 3pm kickoff.
