Parents and their students are invited to join us for an Open House, where attendees will engage with our students, teachers, and current Berwick parents. Experience our innovative programming, learn more about what sets our community apart, and see how you can #BABulldog at Berwick.

  • Arrival & Check-in | 8:50-9:00 a.m.

    Location: Jackson Library
    Start your morning by checking in with our friendly Admissions team and getting to know Berwick’s beautiful campus right from the start! This is your chance to mingle with other prospective families, enjoy some light refreshments, and prepare for a morning full of exploration and discovery.
  • Open House Kickoff & Student Performance | 9:05 a.m.

    Prepare to be inspired as we kick off our Open House with a special performance by one of our talented Upper School students!
  • Welcome to Berwick Academy | 9:10 a.m.

    Presenter: Jim Hamilton, Head of School

    Hear from our Head of School, Jim Hamilton, as he highlights what makes our community special and provides a glimpse into the transformative experiences your child can have at Berwick.
  • The Berwick Academy Admission Experience: A Quick Snapshot | 9:20 a.m.

    Presenter: Jen Wing, Director of Enrollment Management

    Get a brief but impactful overview of the admission experience and discover what it means to be a part of the Berwick community.
  • Lower School Program | 9:25 - 11:00 a.m.

    9:30-10:30 a.m.: Campus Tour & Berwick Forest Classroom ‘Story Walk’
    Experience the joy and excitement of our Lower School through engaging tours led by current families and faculty. Walk through vibrant classrooms, peek into creative learning spaces, and see how our youngest learners explore and grow. We’ll end the tour with our ‘Story Walk,’ located near the Berwick Forest Classroom. Bring your student(s) to explore with us!

    10:40-11:00 a.m.: Meet & Greet with Joel Hawes, Director of Lower School
    Join us for an informal meet and greet with Lower School Director, Joel Hawes, while your child enjoys free play, crafts, and (nut free) snacks. Ask questions and learn about what makes our Lower School program so exceptional.

    Program ends at 11:00 a.m.
  • Middle School Program | 9:25 - 11:15 a.m.

    9:30 a.m.: Fabrication Studio Visit
    Kick off your Middle School experience with a stop at our state-of-the-art Fabrication Studio. See how our students bring learning to life through hands-on engineering, design thinking, and creativity.

    9:50-10:45 a.m.: Student-led Tours
    Explore Berwick through the eyes of a current Upper School student who began their BA journey in our Middle School! Visit classrooms, special project spaces, and community areas as our students share their personal experiences, favorite classes, and the traditions that make Middle School at Berwick truly unique.

    10:45-11:00 a.m.: Student Panel
    Hear directly from our students about what it’s like to be a part of the Berwick Middle School community. This is your chance to ask questions and learn more about academics, extracurriculars, and student life from those who know it best.

    11:00-11:15 a.m.: Meet & Greet with Ryan Feeley, Director of Middle School
    Conclude your morning by connecting with Ryan Feeley, our Middle School Director, for an informal chat. Learn more about how we balance challenge and support to foster curiosity and independence in each of our Middle School students.

    Program ends at 11:15 a.m.
  • Upper School Program | 9:25 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

    9:30 a.m.: Welcome with Dr. Mary Jo Carabatsos, Director of Upper School (All)
    Start your Upper School journey with a warm welcome from Dr. C! She’ll introduce you to our high school experience and outline what makes the Upper School years at Berwick so rewarding and transformative.

    9:40-10:30 a.m.: Student-led Tours (All)
    Join our Upper School students for a tour of the campus and a chance to see firsthand what daily life looks like for our high schoolers. Discover the diverse academic offerings, delve into our state-of-the-art facilities, and hear stories about how Berwick’s Upper School prepares students for success beyond high school.

    10:30-11:30 a.m.: Class Visit with Host (for Prospective Students)
    Dive into the Berwick experience by joining a real class! Shadow a current student and see how our classrooms foster dialogue, critical thinking, and collaboration in a way that challenges and inspires.

    10:30-11:00 a.m.: Current Parent/Guardian Conversation (for Adults)
    While prospective students attend classes, parents are invited to connect with current Berwick families. This session is an ideal opportunity to ask questions, gain a parent’s perspective, and get a deeper understanding of the community culture.

    11:00-11:30 a.m.: Program Directors Panel (for Adults)
    Meet our Program Directors and learn about the diverse curriculum and programs offered in the Upper School. This panel provides a deeper dive into the academic, arts, and athletic opportunities available to students, offering insights into how Berwick supports individual student growth and achievement.

    11:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Student Experience Panel (All)
    Wrap up the morning with a lively Q&A featuring a panel of current Upper School students. Learn about their unique journeys, from academics to extracurriculars, and hear how Berwick’s has helped them flourish as individuals.

Berwick Academy

Berwick Academy, situated on an 80-acre campus just over one hour north of Boston, serves 520 students, Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 and Postgraduates.
